Hello, Dr Raman, we are thrilled to have you on our media. Please tell us a bit about your background.
I graduated with a masters degree in engineering. I began my career as a technology scientist. However, I chose to make my mark in the training industry as a corporate learning leader and a performance scientist. Currently, I am the world’s only speaker on the science of speed. Through well-researched methodologies, I help people to shorten their time to success. I coach them on how to increase their pace of learning and master new skills or domains. My ultimate goal is to make them star performers, develop their expert authority in their niches, and attain their desired leadership status in half the time. I created the GetThereFaster™ learning portal to provide my patrons with a range of training courses, coaching sessions, and mentoring programs to get them there faster (where they aspire to go).
That’s very interesting. How did you end up being a global authority on the science of speed despite your engineering background?
To put it in a few words, my passion for speed began in childhood when I lost my ability to walk. With limited mobility amidst highly impoverished situations, I was at risk of getting any primary school education. I tried my best to immerse myself in the world of learning. It became my obsession and passion for finding ways to ‘walk faster’ in other walks of life. The early life experimentations led me to figure out methods that work best towards learning faster than others. That’s how I became an engineer at 21 and a scientist at 22. Later, I earned two doctorates in learning and cracked the code to speed up mastery on personal and professional fronts. I earned over 100 degrees or credentials and authored 20 books in this process. All that collectively has made me the world’s number one authority on the science of speed. It gives me immense pleasure that I get to guide professionals and leaders toward achieving excellence at an accelerated rate.

We are in a fast-paced world. What is that one tip you would like to give to the professionals and leaders to become successful in a shorter time?
In common sense, if you have good clarity about your paths, you are likely to reach your destination in a shorter time, but in today’s chaotic world, that clarity seems to become rare. Traditionally, people focus only on one of the two aspects: The first one is to seek clarity about “why” drives, which are emotional or heartfelt reasons, or experiences for doing something you want to do. Another one is “what for” motives that push you towards your purpose, outcome, goal, or destination. However, mastering just one dimension is not enough. If you really want to speed up your professional success, then you should seek to get clarity on both dimensions – ‘why’ and ‘what for.’
